In Alpharetta, garden centers are busiest on spring weekends, when new stock arrives and popular plants sell out; weekday mornings are calmer and staff have more time to answer questions. Ask which plants are hardy for your USDA zone in Georgia, whether trees and shrubs carry a replacement guarantee (one year is common), and whether the nursery delivers and plants large items. Fall is the best planting season for many trees and perennials, and end-of-season sales are common. Many nurseries close or shorten hours in winter, so check the listing for current hours and Google rating before you go.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 9 amβ6 pm. Alpharetta is in Georgia, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Alpharetta follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

My wife and I stopped by to pick up everything we needed to start our first little porch garden together. Kate was AWESOME! She was super super friendly and walked us through everything we needed help with. She also answered all of our questions without making us feel like we were asking too many questions lol. She definitely made the experience alot more fun and we can't wait to come back to add to our garden soon! Thank you!! - Dylan and Steven

Overpriced plants per usual. Also, the employees are great but when I say that I do not need help carrying something small to my car....stop asking!!! And god forbid you take a buggy to your car, there's someone that follows you and watches awkwardly all so they can return the buggy immediately. I get it. But it is a bit overkill.

I've been to Pike Nurseries a few times, but this was easily the most neatly organized one I've seen. There were a lot of people on staff and everyone was very helpful. Some things were of a comparable price to Home Depot/Lowe's, a few things were a bit cheaper. I bought a back of acidifier that was about a dollar cheaper than HD would've been. All the plants and seedlings were clearly pampered as well, all thriving and healthy looking. There were a few potted hydrangeas in the main indoor area that looked a little sad, maybe due to lack of light, but all the plants in the outside nursery looked great. I didn't ask for any help as I was just browsing, but I was listening to other conversations. The staff were very knowledgeable and attentive when assisting other customers and giving growing advice. This Pike is definitely out of my way, there are like three different Home Depots that are much closer, but I intend to make the drive out here in the future for gardening supplies. It's much nicer, the plants look so much healthier, and the associates are available to answer questions to a much higher degree.

I visited on a Sunday while I was getting my car cleaned up next door. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I love these little mini plants for my front porch and dish gardens. So glad to see so many varieties.

Weβve used this Pike Nursery several times over the last few years. Todayβs trip was to get several plants and a tree. The sales associate was super helpful in picking the right plants. I was looking for plants to go in our back yard where we have partial sun and deer problems. He was able to give us good direction as well as practical advice from his own plant/deer experience. We always use the delivery and planting service. They guarantee the plants for a year and do a good job with the actual planting.
